The Toombs County Lady Bulldog (2-2) softball bounced back from back-to-back home run rule losses, to New Hampstead and Jeff Davis, with a 10-6 victory over New Hampstead in Savannah. The Toombs County competition cheerleading team has been practicing all summer to get ready for the 2016 season. Last year the Cheer Dawgs saved their best effort for the Region 1 AAA competition in Statesboro. It was only one quarter. But, it was a dominating first quarter for the 2016 varsity Toombs County Bulldogs. The 2016 trip to Akron, Ohio, for the All-American Soap Box Derby, by the contingent representing Southeast Georgia was the most successful ever.
