The Toombs County Middle School Bullpups will open the 2016 football season in a new league, with a new head coach, and a new offensive and defensive scheme. Derrick Fitzgerald, the new head coach, was actually the head coach of the Bullpups in 2014,  prior to spending the 2015 season with the TCHS varsity. In recent years the Bullpups competed in the Middle Georgia Middle School Athletic Association, but this season they will be playing Claxton, Metter, Portal, Bryan County, North Tattnall and Glennville.
