The All Star season begins at Partin Park

The All Star season, at Partin park, is underway for the boys and girls, who were chosen to represent their league teams. Last season the Lyons Recreation Department produced a state champion. The 7-8 year old Flea Boys scored the LRD’s first state championship since the summer of 1993 when the Mite Girls and Boys each won a state trophy.

Seven of the 2015 Flea GRPA State Champs have moved up to the Mite Division and are All Stars. Gage Brantley, Kameron Clark, Cameron Harris, Trayvonne Harris, Cameron Ledford, Jesus Quintero and Kipp Mosley are all seeking a second straight championship. Also on the team are Hunter Barwick, Mason Braddy, Dawson McClendon, Brock Nobles, Brantley Upshaw and Gailan Wilds.

The Mites opened their summer sweeping Soperton 14-4 and 19-8 with Brantley hitting a pair of homers over the fence on Field 2.
