Meet Jared Hamlin- Toombs County’s new offensive coordinator


New Toombs County offensive coordinator Jared Hamlin has been coaching football for 21 years. Most of those years he has either been a head coach or an offensive coordinator. Hamlin was a head coach at Sebring High School for seven seasons and he went 41-30 including a 9-2 season. He left the Florida school to start the program at Coahulla High in Dalton, Georgia in 2012. He spent two years there going 2-8 each season. Coach Hamlin comes to Toombs from Coffee County.

Coach Hamlin is a former Virginia Tech offensive lineman

Coach Hamlin played three seasons at Virginia Tech and he started 10 games on the offensive line. He played for the legendary and recently retired Frank Beamer. Hamlin played on Beamer’s first two bowl teams. Hokie squads which went 9-3 and 8-4 in 1993 and 1994.
