Athletes at Toombs County High School have the amazing ability to play their best on Senior Night. For example, in basketball, the senior class of 2012 featuring Brandon Driggers Dominique Hawkins, Robert George and Nathan Roach stopped an eight game losing streak to Vidalia with a 63-59 victory on Senior Night. As for individual performances, on the Bulldog baseball team’s Senior Night in 2009 shortstop Blake Chalkley , who had never threatened to hit a home run in his career, smashed one over the fence.

On TCHS Basketball Senior Night 2016 the hero was Alex Dillard. The Bulldog guard had never started a varsity game and he had never scored in double-figures until Senior Night when he did both in TCHS’s 78-43 loss to Dodge County. Alex scored five points in the first half and 15 in the second for a career-high 20. He swished one 3-pointer in the first half and three more in the second including a long one from the right wing which banked in off the glass. Watch a slideshow

D.R. Meadows was the only other Bulldog to hit double-digits and the junior scored 12 points. Freshman Karis Harden added four points, seniors Andre Clark and Gonza Blount each scored two and junior Jalen Mobley and freshman Tyquan Toby each added one.
