In December, in Lyons, the Toombs County Bulldogs and the Vidalia Indians were tied at 45-all entering the fourth quarter. In the rematch, at the Ralph Parsons Gym, the Bulldogs trailed by 45 (74-29) going to the fourth quarter as Vidalia rolled up an 86-43 victory. The Bulldogs were missing two starters- Jordan Usher and Keshawn Morgan,
The Bulldogs scored the first points of the game on a Tyrese Lewis 3-ball and then the Indians went on a 37-3 run to open up a 50-17 lead at half. Both teams were shooting and making 3-pointers. Vidalia sank 12 long shots and Toombs County dropped in 10.
D.R. Meadows made four 3-pointers and led TCHS with 15 points and Jalen Mobley hit three 3’s and scored 14. Alex Dillard came off the bench and swished two 3-balls and scored eight and Jacquail Boyd scored one.
Vidalia had four double-digit scorers. Terryan Page (three 3-pointers) scored 13, Caleb Gilchrest also had 13 (three 3-pointers), Tahj Jones 12 (two 3-pointers) and Laquintez Walker 10 (two 3-pointers).
Vidaila took the girls game 63-38. Jocelyn Walker and Dominique Jones each scored 10 points to lead the Lady Bulldogs, Joann Gomez had eight, Demetria Jones five, Christine Mobley three and Shakevia Knight two.
Justyce Edge scored 13 and Regan Norfleet 10 to pace the Lady Indians.
