The 3A Toombs County Bulldog wrestling team beat four 6A teams and one 4A in route to a second place finish in the Packer Duals in Moultrie. TCHS knocked off 6A Colquitt Counry 48-31, 6A  Lowndes County 49-25 and 4A Crisp County 65-11 before losing to 6A Tift County 45-27. Lady Bulldogs suffer first loss & the Dawgs lose a lead in the 4th quarter

In a match up of unbeaten teams in Lyons, the Jeff Davis Lady Yellow Jackets remained perfect with a 60-35 victory over Toombs County. JD won it’s first three games over Appling County, Irwin County and Brantley County by an average of 39 points. The closest margin of victory was 25 (53-28 over Brantley). Second half comeback propels Lady Bulldogs to 4-0 start

For the second time in 10 days the Toombs County Lady Bulldogs beat Montgomery County despite trailing 12-2 after the opening quarter. Emma Bacon makes her Y-101 debut

She isn’t old enough to drive a car by herself, but fifteen year old Emma Bacon is mature enough to make music on her own. The sophomore at Tattnall County High School works 70 dates a year and she routinely travels to Nashville to work with country music professionals. Lady Bulldogs open season with two straight wins

Toombs County BOE accepts Lyman Guy’s resignation

  For the third time since 2013 the Toombs County Bulldogs are seeking a new head football coach. On Friday morning (November 20) the Toombs County Board of Education, by a unanimous vote, accepted the resignation Lyman Guy as head coach of the Bulldogs after two 2-8 seasons. Toombs County is moving down to Double A

Toombs County High School athletics spent 18 consecutive seasons in class AA in GHSA- from the 1996 football season through 2014 spring season. For the 2014-15 school year TCHS was reclassified as a AAA school and was one of the smallest with 831 students.
