Toombs Recreation Department 9-year old team wins jamboree

There is a mighty fine football team in south Toombs County and on Saturday the nine-year old Yellow Jackets won a jamboree at the Toombs Central Football Field. Watch a slideshow

Toombs won two pool play games beating Montgomery County 21-6 and Wheeler County 6-0. In the championship game Toombs shutout Wheeler County 24-0. So far this season the Jackets have eight out of nine games. Their only loss was in overtime, by penetration, to Bacon County.
