For the second time in her Lady Bulldog career shortstop Abigail Lynn hit a home run in a game that nobody won. In 2014 she belted a solo shot in the third inning, on a 1-0 pitch, over the left field fence at Vidalia High School. However, rain ended that game tied at 1-all and it was never completed. So, technically that homer didn’t count.

On Tuesday, in the Lady Bulldogs first Region 1 AAA game, Lynn smacked a Tattnall County pitch over the left field fence, with Britney Beckum on first base, tying the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the fourth. Once again lightening and rain ended the game at the TCMS Softball Field with the score still tied at 2-all in the sixth. The game will be completed on September 16th when Toombs plays at Tattnall County.  This homer will eventually count. Watch Highlights  Slideshow

Lady Bulldogs lose to Vidalia

Vidalia defeated Toombs County 12-0 in four innings in softball at Vidalia. The Lady Indians hit three home runs and pitcher Jessie Morris threw a one-hitter. Ansley Tatum broke up the Morris no-hitter with a single with one out in the fourth. Lady Bulldog shortstop Abigail Lynn made a fantastic catch running and diving into the outfield grass and Asia Shipman made a fine grab in right field.
