Lady Bulldogs win final two games at Warrior Blast Tourney

The Toombs County Lady Bulldog softball team won their final two games at the Warrior Blast Tournament in Reidsville. After losing to Treutlen 9-0 in their first game on Saturday, TCHS defeated Wheeler County 10-5 and Bradwell Institute 9-3. Watch highlights Wheeler Game  Bradwell Game  Slideshow

Three Lady Dawgs scored a first in the Wheeler game. Freshmen Lilly Ann Pittman and Sage Jones each stroked their first varsity hit and junior Courtney Moore was the starting and winning pitcher for the first time.

In the Bradwell Institute victory junior Taylor Thomson was the winning pitcher. She yielded three runs in the five inning game and two touched home on one wild pitch.

On Friday the Lady Bulldogs lost to Metter 6-4 and to ECI 3-1. The Lady Bulldogs are 3-3 as they get ready to open their Region 1 AAA schedule, at home, on Tuesday at 6 p.m. against Tattnall County. On Tuesday TCHS will play at rival Vidalia at 5:30.
