“I had the opportunity to play with GameOn this weekend at UGA,” Meadows said. “I’ve been working hard to get stronger and better and hard work does payoff. I was just patient at the plate and kept my eye on the ball and ended up 8-for-10 for the weekend. I played short, second and then got to pitch in relief in the last game. I gave up a walk and one hit but was pretty effective on the mound. I was just blessed and had a good weekend.”
On defense D.R. made a spectacular play early in the first game on a ball hit to the third baseman. “I was just backing up my teammate on third and it got through I just barehanded the ball on the run and ended up making the play at first,” Meadows said.
Up next for Meadows will be the Georgia All-Star Game August 7-9 at Georgia Southern. This game will feature the top players from the graduating classes of 2016, 2017 and 2018.
