5 Bulldogs wrestlers advance to the semifinals in the Sweet Onion Invitational

The Sweet Onion Invitational is known for it’s competitive nature. The brackets are challenging and they tested the Toombs Coutny Bulldogs on the first day of the 2017 tourney. For a second time the Toombs County Bulldogs have avenged a Region 2 loss from earlier in the season. The first time they did it was at home against Metter and at Jeff Davis the Dawgs did it again. Swainsboro stops the Bulldogs four game win streak and the Lady Bulldogs also take a loss

For a second time, on a Friday night, the Toombs County Bulldogs had a four game winning streak stopped by a road Region 2 loss. In December the Metter Tigers beat the 4-0 Bulldogs with a second half comeback and on January 13 the Swainsboro Tigers pulled away in the second half. The Toombs County Middle School basketball teams wrapped up their home regular season schedule with 8th Grade Appreciation Day. Four Bullpups, one Lady Bullpup and four cheerleaders were honored.
